The Blue Sky Community Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) "public benefit" organization with a mission to raise the funds needed for the continued preservation and maintenance of the Blue Sky Ecological Reserve. It generates revenue primarily by conducting its annual Blue Sky Gala fund-raising event.
To date, the Foundation has provided funding to build the newly paved and lighted parking area. Future donations will keep park rangers on patrol, keep hiking trails open, and build an Interpretive and Education Center to help children and adults learn about nature. When complete, the Interpretive Center will overlook the entire reserve, and be a focal point detailing its history, as well as displays about the reserve and its flora and fauna.
